2016 Committee for the Advancement of Professional Practice elections

Voting has begun for the 2016 CAPP elections — make your vote count.

Through Sept. 30, APA Practice Organization members can participate in the election of the Committee for the Advancement of Professional Practice (CAPP). CAPP is the governance committee within the APA Practice Organization that is responsible for identifying, planning and implementing projects important to supporting, protecting and advancing professional practice. CAPP reports to the APA Practice Organization Board of Directors.

Each available CAPP position involves a three-year term beginning on Jan. 1, 2017. There are three committee seats available representing different areas of professional practice: expanded practice in health care, development/management/administrative experience in large systems and early career practitioner.

APA Practice Organization members should have received an email or paper ballot earlier this month from SBS, the company contracted to conduct the election. The ballot contains instructions on how to cast your vote.

All candidates have provided statements, which are available online.

CAPP has an important role in influencing and protecting the profession, so your vote matters.
