Call for comments on Guidelines for the Practice of Telepsychology

Oct. 26, 2012 is the deadline to submit comments

Aug. 30, 2012—In accordance with Association Rule 30.8, the Board of Professional Affairs (BPA) seeks public and member comments on the draft Guidelines for the Practice of Telepsychology. Comments are accepted for a 90-day period which will end on Oct. 26, 2012.

With the advancement of technology and the increased number of psychologists using technology in their practices, these guidelines are being prepared to educate and guide those who engage in the practice of telepsychology.

The Guidelines for the Practice of Telepsychology have been developed by a joint Task Force composed of members representing APA, the Association of State and Provincial Psychological Boards (ASPPB), and members representing the APA Insurance Trust (APAIT).

The comment period has ended for these guidelines.
