Annual report on the APA Practice Organization
By Katherine C. Nordal, PhD
February 24, 2011—I’ve just had the opportunity to present our annual report on the American Psychological Association Practice Organization (APAPO) to the APA Council of Representatives. Now I want to share the Power Point presentation with members so you understand how we serve you and your practitioner colleagues.
I hope you’ll take a few minutes to view the slideshow (PDF, 2.3MB). Too many members seem unaware of our advocacy work in the legislative, legal/regulatory and marketplace arenas and of other ways we serve the practice community.
Please keep in mind that this report features strictly APAPO activities — those supported by your Practice Assessment payments. In addition, we in the Practice Directorate provide many additional services through APA — such as public education about the value of psychology and psychological services — that don’t appear in this report.
As always, we want to hear your feedback and suggestions — and to help you with your professional needs and concerns. Please get in touch with us by email or by calling toll-free, (800) 374-2723.
