Make sure your password complies with new security guidelines required by APA

The new APA and APA Practice Organization Web sites will allow you to access everything with a single sign-on

November 23, 2009 — In December, the American Psychological Association (APA) will launch a new Web site, apa.org. Practice Central, the APA Practice Organization's new Web site, will launch at the same time at a new URL: apapracticecentral.org.

A single sign-on, involving just one user name and one password, will allow you to access everything. Any user names and passwords you may have created specifically for use on the current APApractice.org Web site will be replaced by your single-sign-on APA user name and your single-sign-on APA password.

Your APA password will need to be 8-14 characters long, with a mix of letters and symbols. If your APA password already complies with these guidelines, you don't need to do anything.

If you need to upgrade your APA password, log in and click on "Upgrade my Password Now."
