New websites coming in December: Act now to modify your password

APA.org and Practice Central will launch, allowing greater access with just one password

by Communications Staff

October 28, 2009 — In December, APA will be launching its revamped website, apa.org. Practice Central, the APA Practice Organization's (APAPO) new website, will launch at the same time.

A single sign-on, involving just one user name and password, will allow you to access everything at both apa.org and Practice Central. Access to the Practice site includes any APAPO CE courses you have purchased and premium content that is available to Practice Assessment payers, practice-oriented members of APAGS, and APA Life Status practitioners.

Your single sign-on user name will be your APA user name and your single sign-on password will be your APA Password. This means that any user names and passwords you may have created over the last several years specifically for use on the current APAPO Web site, APApractice.org, will be replaced by your single sign-on APA user name and your single sign-on APA password.

Please be aware that APA requires you to modify your APA password no later than November 30 to ensure increased privacy and security. Your upgraded password will need to be 8 to 14 characters long, with a mix of letters and symbols.

Creating your new APA Password is easy. Do it now by visiting My APA and clicking on "Upgrade my Password."
