Uncommon Practices

Designed to fit into a busy lifestyle, Uncommon Practices’ unique program is similar to a graduate-level seminar that builds a comprehensive knowledge base of time-tested practical practice building concepts, exercises and applications.  Participants receive practice building articles by email every two weeks, along with workbook assignments to help apply the material to your particular practice situation. This knowledge is supplemented with group support (as well as individual support with the Mentoring option) to help you:

  • implement what you learn;

  • be accountable for taking consistent action;

  • learn from other successful practitioners around the country; and

  • deal with any resistance you have to greater success.

This program is broken into three four-month modules. To make sure you develop a clear and effective business plan, everyone in the Business of Psychotherapy program begins with Module One. After that, you can choose among these modules:

  • Business and Marketing Fundamentals for Psychologists,

  • Marketing to Your Local Community,

  • Web Site Design and Internet Marketing. 

Each module has been designed to include a comprehensive study and practical application of the most essential topics, skills and practices to create a successful private practice.

In addition, all program participants receive Eight Steps to Private Practice Success, an eight-step system for organizing all of the most important concepts, elements and practices of private practice success.
