Win an iPad
The APA Practice Organization is awarding one iPad in each of three drawings to psychologists listed in the new Psychologist Locator. All members who have created a Psychologist Locator listing between January 1, 2010 and November 2010 are eligible. Please read the complete rules and conditions below.
Rules & Conditions
Term: Psychologists listed in the Psychologist Locator from January 1, 2010 through November 30, 2010 will be part of the drawing.
Prize: Three iPads will be awarded. Winners will be notified in October, November, and December 2010. Prize winners are restricted to one iPad. iPads are valued at $499 each.
Odds of winning: Odds of winning will be determined by the number of psychologists listed in the Psychologist Locator between January 1, 2010 and November 30, 2010.
How to participate: Create a listing in the Psychologist Locator by following the steps below. Payment of the 2010 Practice Assessment is required to create a listing in the Psychologist Locator. Life Status practitioner members of APA are also eligible to create a listing in the Psychologist Locator.

- Click on Login (on the right hand side of the blue Practice Central header at the top of the page)
- Login using your APA login ID and Password
(The system will take you to a Usage Agreement page where you will need to accept the terms.) - Enter your Locator information and be a part of the Psychologist Locator

Individuals who are listed in the Psychologist Locator during the drawing term will be part of three random drawings, one per month in September, October and November 2010 for an iPad. Prize winners are restricted to one iPad.
Notification: Prize winners will be notified by mail, e-mail and/or telephone no later than October 15 for the September drawing, November 15 for the October drawing and December 15 for the November drawing.
Eligibility: Contest is open to:
- Psychologists listed in the Psychologist Locator between January 1, 2010 and November 30, 2010.
Employees and immediate family of the American Psychological Association, its employees, Board of Directors and officers are not eligible. This contest is void wherever prohibited or restricted by law and is subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations.
Conditions: The American Psychological Association Practice Organization, participating sponsors and organizations, state agencies or recycling organizations, product donors and their boards, committees, officers, employees and agents are not in any way liable for damage, loss or injury from entering the drawing or acceptance and use of the iPad prize. Winners assume complete liability for injuries caused or claimed to be caused by participation in this drawing, or the use or misuse of the iPad prizes. The American Psychological Association Practice Organization reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend this drawing should causes beyond the control of the American Psychological Association Practice Organization corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the drawings. Anyone using fraudulent means to participate and/or win the drawing will be disqualified. By accepting the iPad prize, winners grant the American Psychological Association Practice Organization permission to use his/her name and likeness for advertising and future promotion purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited. Winners may also be asked to participate in various promotional efforts. Drawings will continue until eligible winners are confirmed. This contest is subject to these complete and official rules. A statement with the name of the winners will be available after January 10, 2011. - The American Psychological Association Practice Organization and sponsors are not responsible for technical, hardware, software, telephone or other transmission failures of any kind; lost or unavailable network connections; or incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions, whether caused by The American Psychological Association Practice Organization, users, any equipment or programming utilized in promotions, games, contests or drawings or by human error that may occur in the processing of creating a listing in the Psychologist Locator, which may limit a participant's ability to participate.
- The American Psychological Association Practice Organization reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend a promotion, game, contest or drawing should a virus, bug, computer or other problem beyond the control of the American Psychological Association Practice Organization corrupt the administration, security or proper execution of any promotion, game, contest or drawing or the Internet portion of any promotion, game, contest or drawing. All Internet participants agree to be bound by these rules, and the Official General Rules appearing above.
