APA Supports Affordable Health Choices Act

American Psychological Association (APA) Chief Executive Officer Norman B. Anderson, PhD, offered the APA’s support for the draft of the Affordable Health Choices Act, noting that, if passed, the health reform legislation would improve “access to affordable, quality health care for our nation, most notably for the 47 million individuals who are currently uninsured.”

In a June 16, 2009 letter to Senators Edward Kennedy and Michael Enzi, Chair and Ranking Member, respectively, of the Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, Dr. Anderson thanked the Committee for its work on the legislation.
